We measured these values in our own laboratory according to PSTC methods: 180° peel on a stainless-steel plate, with the adhesive coated on 1 mil PET at 25 ± 2 gsm. Viscosity is measured with a Brookfield RVD11 viscometer, spindle 5, at 10 rpm and 25 °C.

Using it
- First, dilute with ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons or esters; mixes of aliphatic hydrocarbons can also be used. Solvents must be anhydrous.
- Finally, dry the coating thoroughly in the coating machine: residual solvent lowers the adhesive's performance.
What is ADCRYL™ AP 1453?
ADCRYL™ AP 1453 is a single-pack, high-performance, self-cross-linking solvent acrylic PSA, made by Advance Adhesives Private Limited in Belagavi, India. Recommended applications: high solids, high-performance acrylic PSA; double-sided tapes, decals, aluminium foil tape. Typical values are 53 ± 2% solids, a viscosity of 20 – 50 poise, 180° peel adhesion of 1400 ± 10% gf/25 mm (PSTC-101, stainless-steel plate), loop tack of 1200 – 1400 gf/inch, rolling-ball tack of 15 – 20 cm (PSTC-106) and shear resistance of more than 1000 hours (PSTC-107, 25 × 25 mm, 1 kg). Appearance: transparent viscous liquid. It is supplied in 200 or 225 kg drums and has a shelf life of 6 months. below 40 °C. We measured peel, tack and shear in our own laboratory according to PSTC methods, with the adhesive coated on 1 mil PET at 25 ± 2 gsm.
