About us creating bonds since 1995
Advance Adhesives Private Limited, formerly Advance Polymers, is an Indian manufacturer of solvent-based specialty pressure-sensitive adhesives for converters in India and abroad.
The company
Thirty years in adhesives

Established in 1995, Advance Adhesives Private Limited, formerly known as Advance Polymers, manufactures solvent-based specialty pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) for the converting industry. Our product line serves adhesive tapes, labels, decals, graphics, laminations and holograms. We make six ranges at our 18,000 sq ft works at Belgaum: ADCRYL™ solvent acrylic PSAs, solvent rubber PSAs, the ADVANCE AP 777 contact adhesive, the HYDRO AP 117 water-based acrylic PSA, hardeners and a release coat.
We are known for our solvent-based rubber and acrylic PSAs, made to the standards of the converting industry. When our range does not cover a requirement, our team formulates a custom solvent acrylic PSA to the customer’s specification.
We work with the adhesive-coated and tape industries in India and abroad, with exports to Europe and the Gulf. Consistent products, prompt deliveries and technical support have built those relationships, and our quality system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 by TÜV India.
Our founder
Where it began

Mr. Dhanesh Metrani
Founder
Mr. Dhanesh Metrani founded the business in 1995 as Advance Polymers, now Advance Adhesives Private Limited, and led it for three decades. He came to it from hands-on work in the adhesive and adhesive-tape industry, and he was known for his work on the formulation and production of solvent acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives.
Outside the company, he was a member of the Round Table Foundation India, which supports education and fellowship for underprivileged children.
Today his family, Savita Metrani and Nitesh Metrani, lead the company and carry his work forward.
Infrastructure
The works at Belgaum

Our manufacturing facility covers 18,000 sq ft and is equipped with stainless-steel reactors, storage tanks, high-shear mixers, disintegrators and other specialised equipment, supported by a well-equipped laboratory.
Alongside production we run a warehouse, a quality laboratory, a packaging department and an R&D department, and we maintain and upgrade our machinery regularly. Our distribution network delivers across India.

Quality
Tested before it ships

We use quality raw materials and check our adhesives at every stage of production. Each batch of finished product goes through down-the-line process control and monitoring, including coating trials on polyester film.
Our quality policy is to develop, manufacture and supply adhesives that consistently meet customer requirements for quality, delivery and consistency, and to keep improving through better formulations, process improvements, capacity expansion and the training of our people.
How we measure
These are the methods behind every value on this site. We measured each property in our own laboratory, according to the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) methods where one applies.
| Property | Method | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| 180° peel adhesion | PSTC-101 | Stainless-steel plate, 25 mm strip, 300 mm/min on a PackTest AP 5 DX tester |
| Rolling-ball tack | PSTC-106 | Distance a steel ball rolls on the adhesive, in cm |
| Shear (holding power) | PSTC-107 | 25 × 25 mm, 1 kg load, hours to failure |
| Viscosity | Brookfield | RVD11, spindle 5, 10 rpm, 25 °C |
| Solids | Oven | 150 °C for 90 minutes |
| Coating basis | Lab coating | 1 mil (25 µm) PET at 25 ± 2 gsm |
Environment
Accountable for our footprint

Respect for the environment is part of how we work. We hold ourselves accountable for our environmental impact and keep developing our environmental policies. A green team, with the involvement of the management board, runs these practices day to day.
Zero effluent
Our technical team works to ensure zero effluent generation within the factory premises.
Rainwater harvesting
We capture and treat rainwater at the facility to improve groundwater use and ease the demand on natural water sources.
Research & development
What our laboratory is working on

Our R&D team works in four stages: innovation, research, development and product launch. Alongside new grades for customers, these are the projects currently in progress:
- Solvent rubber-based PSA
- High-performance PSA with 15–20 N/inch peel strength
- Easy-removable PSA with 10 N/inch peel strength
- Easy-removable rubber PSA with low peel strength and low tack
- Low peel strength, high tack PSA
- High-solids (50/70%) rubber PSA for fabric tape
- Hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive
- Synthetic rubber-based tacky PSA
- Non-tacky PSA
- Silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive
- Synthetic rubber grafted lamination adhesives
- Hybrid PSAs combining acrylic and rubber
- UV-curable pressure-sensitive adhesives
- Polyurethane-based lamination adhesive
- Rat trap adhesive
- Roof sealing sealant
- PVC solvent cement
