ADCRYL™ · Solvent acrylic PSA
AP 1053P
A pigment-compatible, single-pack, self-cross-linking solvent acrylic PSA that cures at moderate temperatures once the solvent is fully removed. Non-oozing, with low shrinkage.
Typical properties
- Solids
- 51 ± 2% 150 °C, 90 min
- Viscosity
- 16 – 25 P Brookfield RVD11, spindle 5, 10 rpm, 25 °C
- 180° peel adhesion
- 900 ± 10% gf/25 mm PSTC-101, stainless-steel plate
- Loop tack
- 800 – 1000 gf/inch
- Rolling-ball tack
- 20 – 25 cm PSTC-106
- Shear
- > 2160 h PSTC-107, 25 × 25 mm, 1 kg
We measured these values in our own laboratory according to PSTC methods: 180° peel on a stainless-steel plate, with the adhesive coated on 1 mil PET at 25 ± 2 gsm. Viscosity is measured with a Brookfield RVD11 viscometer, spindle 5, at 10 rpm and 25 °C.
Recommended for
Non-oozing type, most suited for PVC signage adhesive films
Catalogue note: Low shrinkage
Adhesives by application: PET, PP and coloured film tapes · Labels, decals, signage and window films · Film lamination and holograms
From the datasheet
These are the supply and handling details the ADCRYL™ AP 1053P datasheet gives.
| Appearance | Transparent viscous liquid |
| Solvents | Ethyl Acetate, Toluene |
| Full cure at room temperature | Up to 24 h |
| Substrates | Industrial tapes and labels; PET, polypropylene films, polyvinyl films |
| Packing | 200 or 225 kg, non-returnable drums |
| Storage and handling | Cool place, no direct sunlight/heat, below 35 °C, tightly closed |

Using it
- First, dilute with ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons or esters; mixes of aliphatic hydrocarbons can also be used. Solvents must be anhydrous.
- Finally, dry the coating thoroughly in the coating machine: residual solvent lowers the adhesive's performance.
What is ADCRYL™ AP 1053P?
ADCRYL™ AP 1053P is a pigment-compatible, single-pack, self-cross-linking solvent acrylic PSA that cures at moderate temperatures once the solvent is fully removed. Non-oozing, with low shrinkage, made by Advance Adhesives Private Limited in Belagavi, India. Recommended applications: non-oozing type, most suited for PVC signage adhesive films. Typical values are 51 ± 2% solids, a viscosity of 16 – 25 poise, 180° peel adhesion of 900 ± 10% gf/25 mm (PSTC-101, stainless-steel plate), loop tack of 800 – 1000 gf/inch, rolling-ball tack of 20 – 25 cm (PSTC-106) and shear resistance of more than 2160 hours (PSTC-107, 25 × 25 mm, 1 kg). Appearance: transparent viscous liquid. It is supplied in 200 or 225 kg, non-returnable drums and has a shelf life of 6 months from production date (unopened, original packaging).
